Terms of Service

1. What Settleskill is

Settleskill is an intermediation platform. We verify worker profiles and give employers direct access to them. We are not an employment agency, we do not employ you, and we do not guarantee a job offer, an interview, a visa or a work permit.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract.

3. Worker verification fee

Workers pay a one-time verification fee of €50. It covers document checks, profile verification and access to apply. Because the service is delivered immediately upon verification and no job outcome is promised, the fee is non-refundable. Where consumer law grants a withdrawal right, you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge losing that right once verification begins. We never take a commission from your salary.

4. Your content and accuracy

You confirm that your CV, police clearance, videos, photo and profile details are genuine, current and yours to share. Falsified documents lead to immediate removal without refund and may be reported to the authorities.

You keep ownership of your content and grant us a limited licence to display it to verified employers for recruitment purposes only.

5. Employer obligations

Employers must be legitimate registered businesses, use candidate data only to assess that candidate, never charge candidates recruitment fees, comply with the GDPR as independent controllers, respect equal-treatment and anti-discrimination law, and delete candidate data when it is no longer needed.

6. Prohibited conduct

No harassment, discrimination, forced-labour or trafficking-related activity, scraping, fake accounts, or requests for payment outside the platform. We suspend accounts that breach this.

7. Availability and liability

The platform is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law our liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the previous 12 months. Nothing limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Termination

You may close your account at any time from your settings; we delete your documents and videos promptly. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.

9. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the country in which Settleskill is established, without depriving consumers of the mandatory protections of their country of residence. Contact legal@settleskill.com first — most issues are solved without formal proceedings.
